Tomahok teamed up with the Athenian illustrator Gospel to create a piece in homage to the peripteros of their beloved Greece.
No matter where you’re from, corner stores tend to have a special place in most cultures. It’s the place where you find your favorite childhood candy, a pack of cigarettes for your uncle (or that’s what you tell the man behind the counter) and sometimes even bootleg jersey shirts from your favorite team. Whether we call them dépanneur, bodega or 7anout, those little kiosks become an aspect of our everyday life and needs. For this collaboration, the emerging artist created a visual with meraki of what a periptero means to Greeks all around the globe.
Together, Tomahok and Gospel have produced a limited edition vibrant cotton T-shirt and a poster reminiscent of their home, check out the lookbook of this piece of culture here.
